Abstract: The accumulation of cuttings bed in wellbore is one of the main factors restricting the safe and efficient drilling of horizontal wells, and the study shows that the helical flow of drilling fluid in annulus can effectively improve the efficiency of cuttings removal. Therefore, a cutting bed cleaning tool capable of generating annular spiral flow was designed by CFD numerical simulation and experimental method, and field application was carried out. The results show that the promotion effect of V-shaped blade on cutting migration and the disturbance ability of cutting bed are stronger than those of spiral and straight prismatic blades, and V-shaped blade is the preferred structural form to generate annular spiral flow. The length of V-shaped bladeThere is an optimal range of leaf height, the higher the leaf height is, the better the effect is, and the influence of leaf number is weak; The field application shows that the strength, hardness and blade wear resistance of the cutting bed removal tool meet the requirements of shale gas horizontal well field operation, and the tool can destroy and remove the cutting bed while drilling.Combined with the reaming operation of the key well section where the cutting bed is accumulated during the trip-out process, the tool can destroy and remove the stubborn large grain cutting bed and effectively improve the borehole cleaning effect. .
